Day-dream - "Day Dream is a fascinating and painstakingly crafted digital fusion of invented objects which surprises and re-invents itself at each turn. . . . This interactive art site has numerous areas of digital mayhem to explore. . . . . Finding the links that take you from page to page usually becomes intuitive once you get used to locating the many squiggly and jiggly objects - bitmapped and hand drawn transparent animations that move like amoeba through this primordial site." - - (Digital Thread, Showcases some of the best design sites on the web.")

Our America: The Latino Presence in American Art , The North American Landscape in Art - "Drawn from the Smithsonian American Art Museum's pioneering collection of Latino art. Our wide-ranging holdings include works by artists of Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, and Dominican descent, as well as other diasporic Latin American groups with deep roots in the United States."

Edward Hopper Sketchbook- An Interactive Selection presented by the Tate Online - "Hopper kept meticulous records of a lifetime of painting, making careful drawings of each work before it left the studio. These were then annotated by his wife, Josephine Nivison Hopper, who added title, date of completion, descricption, sale price and buyer, and often a quirkily personal aside . . . . " - (The content is in the Collection of Whitney Museum of American Art, NY)

Art-Talk. - (KCRW) - Art reviews: "Impassioned views on what one critic sees in galleries and museums around the world and a journalist and art critic specializing in art, design and architecture."

NOTES: - Richard Diebenkorn's 'Pure Painterly Ambiance': "The light and color and rhythm of (a) northern California city became the subtext of abundant and handsomely painted compositions. Most importantly, with this series Diebenkorn moves further into painting per se, further into working through the various qualities of the paint itself. What seems to naturally evolve out of the abstract swirls and diagonal passages of the Berkeley works are the representational images that help launch the Bay Area figurative school. . . . Diebenkorn's figurative works are powerfully constructed pictures, great in their clarity." (Michael Klein in ArtNet Magazine)

THE WORK FEATURED ABOVE: "Richard Diebenkorn's 'Cityscape I'; 1963 oil on canvas; 60 1/4 in. x 50 1/2 in. (153.04 cm x 128.27 cm) in the collection of The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
